Aswan Travel Tips

Well, Aswan travel tips are relatively scant from my perspective.

While there’s some absolutely vital things you need to know here, like how to get to Abu Simbel or details on the somewhat convoluted process of getting to Philae, a trip to Aswan is likely going to be a lot less stressful than one to Cairo or Luxor.

For one thing, there isn’t as much to see here when it comes to ancient sites — not compared to a place like Luxor, anyway.

But mainly, the difference with Aswan is that it’s not quite as intense for tourists.  I didn’t witness a lot of scamming going on, and you’ll get a much needed reprieve from the touts.

It feels a little odd making an entire page dedicated to Aswan and the surrounding area, but I decided it’s less odd than trying to cram these articles in somewhere else.
